Investigating the Historical Jesus
Investigating the Historical Jesus
Robert travelled to the Holy Land with a group of seekers and experts to rediscover the person of Jesus Christ for this Saint Mary's Press production. Beautifully filmed to provide a sense of place that the Holy Land is a real and vibrant home that Jesus walked, the film carries you throughout the region, from Bethlehem to Baptism, from Galilee to Jerusalem. The viewers feel as though they are with Robert as he explores the historical roots of the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus along with the founding of the Early Church.
Conveniently broken into seven chapters, the film serves as both a virtual pilgrimage and a tool for evangelization. Robert and the crew went to Israel for the purpose of rediscovering the person of Jesus and reintroducing Jesus to those for whom Jesus is only a character in a story rather than a person who lived, attracted followers, and pursued an active ministry.
The Christian review site dove.org has given the film a four out of five Doves and recommends it for being a scenic visit to the Holy Land that is "inspiring", "emotionally stirring", and for providing a "biblical" and "uniquely historic perspective".
